Direct Care and Treatment (DCT) is seeking an individual to join our HIMS (Health Information Management Systems) Team for an exciting and rewarding opportunity as a Medical Records Technician! This position will respond to requests for release of information from the medical record ensuring data privacy rules, state and federal statutes are met and provide EHR training to new staff. Primary responsibilities: • Manage, maintain, and retrieve patient health information as required for authorizations, court orders, and subpoenas following data privacy rules, state and federal statutes. • Provide Intro to Avatar training for new staff, interns, and others needing access to Avatar.
