Direct Care and Treatment (DCT) is seeking an individual to join our Facilities Management team for an exciting and rewarding opportunity as a Sustainability Program Specialist. DCT is looking to incorporate more sustainable practices, increase renewable energy portfolios, and to generally make more thoughtful choices around its operations that could impact the natural environment. The Sustainability Program Specialist will assist in coordinating the Direct Care and Treatment (DCT) sustainability program for all department occupied facilities, owned, and leased. Increasing the sustainability of state government agency operations is a priority for the State of Minnesota. This position will be coordinating these efforts at a statewide enterprise level to ensure DCT is making progress towards meeting the state’s sustainability objectives. Responsibilities include: - Lead, direct, organize, and manage a coordinated sustainability program for owned and leased occupied space and operations. - Maintain and monitor statewide, enterprise reporting systems - Coordinate with the DCT Energy Manager and Physical Plant Director to prepare and submit budget recommendations for DCT Administration, which reflect the priorities, objectives, procedures and time frames of the Governor, Department of Finance, Direct Care and Treatment, and the Programs.

Two years of experience coordinating sustainability program management in facilities management, construction and/or operations. Experience must demonstrate all the following: • Applying project management principles, methods and techniques including planning, organizing, implementing, monitoring, assessing, and/or evaluating project activities. • Coordinating and/or assisting with program or project budgets and procurement activities. • Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to advance projects or initiatives. • Experience with computer systems and software applications, such as Microsoft Office and Excel, to create, maintain, and analyze documents, presentations, reports and spreadsheets.

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in business administration, project management, or a related field. • Three or more years of progressive management experience in sustainability and operations. • Experience in sustainability efforts pertaining to construction and operations. • Our employees are dedicated to ensuring cultural responsiveness.
