* This position is for rotating day/evening shifts Monday – Friday and one scheduled weekend every 4 weeks. *Rotating shifts: 8:00am-4:30pm & 11:30am – 8:00pm *Days: Varies – Full-time, 80hours a pay period *After 2-3 weeks of on-site orientation at the Anoka Metro Regional Treatment Center, this position will be 100% Telework Direct Care and Treatment (DCT) is seeking an individual to join our Centralized Pre-Admissions (CPA) Team for an exciting and rewarding opportunity as a Central Pre-Admissions Coordinator & Placement Strategist! This position will implement inpatient pre-admission procedures that are guided by laws and policies for DCT. This position’s role is to develop and maintain positive, productive, and results-orientated relationships across a divergent group of people. CPA is open 24/7 because they are the single point of entry for all DCT. Primary responsibilities: • Serve as an expert consultant and educator regarding the preadmission/triage and admission process for multiple DCT facilities. • Maintain current and accurate knowledge and provide consultation regarding DCT programs, preadmission activity, and the preadmission and admission process. • Interpret and analyze all legal requirements to ensure compliance is met on all admissions. • Advise, educate, and collaborate on procedural and technical aspects of programs so that administrative guidelines are developed and maintained to ensure quality services and good communication with our community partners and referral agencies. • Take calls while multitasking and dealing with competing priorities. • Process referrals that are received via fax and e-mail
Two (2) years of professional work experience that includes one or more of the following: • Reviewing, interpreting, and applying psychiatric, medical, and legal documentation for placement or care coordination decisions. • Admission coordination, intake, or triage for inpatient or residential treatment programs. • Case management or care coordination involving complex clinical, legal, and safety considerations. • Processing and assessing referrals for placement within a multi-program or multi-site treatment system. • Experience working in a Minnesota state-operated treatment facility or comparable public behavioral health system. Note: Bachelor’s degree in health care administration, public health, nursing, sociology, psychology, counseling, criminal justice, and social work or closely related field may substitute for 1 year of professional experience. Master’s degree in health care administration, public health, nursing, sociology, psychology, counseling, and criminal justice, or closely related may substitute for 2 years of professional experience.
