The Forensic Mental Health Program is looking for a Unit Supervisor! The Unit Supervisor will provide leadership in treatment planning and implementation to ensure patient care is parallel with treatment models. The Unit Supervisor will also be responsible for managing the day-to-day aspects of the unit while collaborating with the team to ensure a safe environment for patients; that is therapeutic, positive, and respectful. This position may administratively supervise direct care staff including Forensic Support Specialists (FSS), Forensic Support Specialist Leads (FSSL) Human Services Support Specialists (HSSS) or Residential Program Leads (RPL) and supports the planning and implementation of a treatment model for the unit(s) in collaboration with the clinical treatment team. Unit Supervisors area administratively supervised by the grove Clinical Director (CD), who works in conjunction with the grove Registered Nurse Administrative Supervisor (RNAS). Night Residential Directors are administratively supervised by the Night Registered Nurse Administrative Supervisor (RNAS). Under the direction of the CD and/or RNAS, this position works collaboratively with other Unit Supervisors (US)/Night Residential Directors (NRDs) and Registered Nurse Supervisors (RNS) to ensure that patient care services are aligned with the program’s service delivery model(s), the treatment team is functioning effectively, the environment is safe and secure, program policies and procedures are being implemented as required, and that unit operational needs are being met. The incumbent must be able to perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation.

To qualify, applicants must: Have three (3) years’ work experience in a therapeutic, residential or corrective environment providing case management or the monitoring and delivery of therapeutic services to individuals, AND at least one year of experience MUST include supervising, coaching and managing employees. ** A master’s degree in criminal justice, Law Enforcement, Rehabilitation Therapy, Health Sciences, Behavioral Sciences, Healthcare Management, or a related field may be substituted for 1 year of experience; OR a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice, Law Enforcement, Rehabilitation Therapy, Health Sciences, Behavioral Sciences, Healthcare Management or a related field may be substituted for 6 months of experience.
