Facility Communications Specialists play a key role in maintaining the safety and security of AMRTC. These team members are responsible for controlling access into and out of the facility and treatment areas, plus monitoring and coordinating the response to emergency alarms, which includes serving as Master Control for the Incident Command System. They provide central communication services inside the facility, along with reception and information services for visitors, volunteers, and other stakeholders. These positions also provide additional clerical support for the hospital administration and nursing departments. The Facility Communications Specialists must have sound decision-making skills and good judgment, plus the ability to cope with a variety of high stress situations and multiple work environment distractions. These positions require excellent written and oral communication skills, including English language proficiency, to communicate effectively with co-workers, customers, and the general public, as well as understand information when responding to emergency calls.
